GundR is the story of brotherhood – a relationship as extreme, incomprehensible, pure and irreplaceable, as conquering the highest peaks in the world. No limit, for life and death.

GundR is a production about passion for mountaineering, perseverance and humility, overcoming one's limits, and the immense power of mountains. About unfettered, infinite freedom and about head in the clouds. About the seconds when our fate is irreversibly decided.

The project is inspired by the ascent of Günther and Reinhold Messner to the Himalayan peak of Nanga Parbat by the Rupal Wal,l and subsequent death of Günther – the younger of the brothers. It is also a statement of the power of the media, through which Reinhold raised funds for his other expeditions, and popularity for himself and mountaineering. At the same time, however, he was criticised by the media and accused of his brother's death.

Is it harder to survive in extreme conditions, resist media pressure or cope with the loss of a brother?

The performance is dedicated to climbers who have not returned from their expeditions.
