Eva Piečková and Katarína Poliačiková continue to research movement and language, an endeavour that began in 2020 with a joint project Learning Water, Salty Eyes. They continue to learn water, pass from the interior to the field, stand on the shore, explore it, dip beneath the surface. They find that the river is something they can't hold. However, it can be experienced, listened to, lived by the body. Their experiences on the shore are those they have never had before.

“On the moon shore we are exploring the body of the river. We are afraid to become it, to lose shape. We become a river. We've always been it. We ask how to make the tongue liquid, let it flow (apart). We dissolve speech, distinct meanings. The tongue becomes different types of fluids.

We are two bodies in neoprene that talk on the shore about the slime-covered lungs, about the desire, sadness and saliva, how the caterpillar must first dissolve completely, disappear, become liquid to later emerge like a butterfly. Play on the shore, playing the river.

What is the river? What are we – by it, in it? What do we find?”
