RADICAL EMPATHY: Carry (SK/FR)

LANGUAGE: No language barrier
20 min

What can all be expressed through the body, and what does the realm of bodies encompass? Tomáš Danielis' performative installation addresses current issues related to corporeality, particularly in the context of women and their position in society. 'Carry' - art gazes into the mirror and loses its glamour. The body on display, the body at work, the body as possession, the body as reflection, the body as image... Artists from the Radical Empathy group delve into the depths of the uncertain and complex position of women in contemporary society within its cultural (and historical) frameworks.

The performance is the first part of Thursday's double-show at A4. Its second part is the performance by Dance Studio Theater and Indira Chamalé Ortiz: Filomena. The same ticket grants entry to both performances.

After the double-show, there will be a discussion with the creators of the show. The discussion will begin approx. 10 minutes after the end of the performances and will be moderated by Dáša Čiripová.
